The ISBW14 and WSC2022 Conference Committee will be an IN-PERSON event in Annapolis, MD, USA. At this time we do not anticipate masking requirements on-site during the conference. SOME FIELD TRIPS DO REQUIRE YOU TO WEAR MASKS. SOME FIELD TRIPS ALSO REQUIRE YOU TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION. Therefore, please bring a mask AND proof of vaccination with you to the conference. Our current policy follows University of Maryland policy, and may change during the conference (depending on University policy, CDC guidelines, and State of Maryland and City of Annapolis guidelines). Please carry proof of vaccination and masks while traveling and to take the utmost precautions.

The ISBW14 and WSC2022 Conference Committee is planning for an IN-PERSON event in Annapolis, MD, USA. At this time we do not anticipate masking requirements on-site during the conference. Our policy will continue to be informed by up-to-date CDC guidelines as well as guidelines from the State of Maryland and City of Annapolis, however, so we strongly encourage all registrants to carry proof of vaccination and masks while traveling and to take the utmost precautions.

Safety during the event will be our #1 priority and we are working with the venue to ensure health and safety protocols are followed. As such, we do anticipate masking and vaccination requirements and our policy will be informed by up-to-date CDC guidelines as well as guidelines from the State of Maryland and City of Annapolis. Please check back here for more information as we get closer to the event, and please note, the WSC22 & ISBW14 Planning Committee reserves the right to adjust its policy based on the evolving COVID-19 situation.

Safety during the event will be our #1 priority, especially as concerns over the Omicron variant are becoming more prevalent, and we are working with the venue to ensure health and safety protocols are followed. As such, we do anticipate masking and vaccination requirements and our policy will be informed by up-to-date CDC guidelines and recommendations. Due to the continued uncertainty regarding the global coronavirus pandemic, international travel restrictions, and the biennial schedule of ISBW, the ISBW14 and WSC2020 Conference Team, along with the World Seagrass Association, has made the hard decision to postpone the event again until summer 2022. It is our sincere hope that this decision will maximize participation and allow our international seagrass community the opportunity to focus on their health and safety during these unprecedented times. As soon as we have more information and revised event dates, we will post those here and on social media.
